There are many resources available to providers of long term care. Many of these resources are free including the Quality Improvement Program for Missouri (QIPMO) and numerous websites.
Members of the Statewide Committee for Improving MDS Assessment and Use and QIPMO have developed educational materials to assist long-term care facilities with the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process including the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Plans, and Care Area Assessments (CAAs).
In additional to these educational materials, the QIPMO program facilitates MDS Coordinators’ Support Groups around the state. These support groups are free and provide valuable information and support to MDS coordinators.
